Shangri-La Chengdu Hotel, Chengdu

I had a lovely stay at the hotel. The rooms were nice and a good size, though a bit small for a Shangri-la. The breakfast was served early at 6 AM, which was convenient for late arrivals. The view from the corner windows was fantastic. The staff provided excellent service, even going the extra mile with complimentary coffees for our group. The location was great for me, offering a nice place to walk around, although not the best for general shopping and major sights. The dining experience was enjoyable with a wide variety of food options, especially the stations for different cuisines. The facilities were top-notch, offering everything one could need for a comfortable stay.

The hotel offers cozy rooms with incredible attention to detail, but the loud humming noise from elevator movement disrupted sleep from 4 am onwards. The ladies' changing room was out of operation initially, followed by the men's, yet the rooms remained spacious and very clean.

From the moment George Deng picked me up at the airport to my friend George Hu escorting me to my room on the 15th floor with a lovely view over the Brocade river, my stay was comfortable with all amenities. The service at Shangri-La was brilliant, and the location couldn't be better, right in the middle of the city by the riverside. The dining experience at the H club was only okay given the price, with cleanliness issues in the breakfast area.
